A Little Note Before Takeoff

This is arriving a little late. On the 6th I was deep in pre-travel panic.
It’s funny how that feeling takes over the entire world. For a while it becomes the most important thing—packing the perfect bag, remembering everything, preparing for every possible version of the future.
But once the trip actually begins, it quietly steps aside and lets exploration take the front seat.
For a moment it felt like the fate of the world rested on whether I packed correctly.
Luckily, past me had done something wise and booked a hotel next to the airport the night before my flight. By the time I got there, the anxiety had worn itself out. With very little effort, everything fit into the bag just fine.
The panic did manage to interrupt one thing: adding new pieces to the shop.
So for the next couple of weeks the stores will be a little quieter—mostly reprints and duplicate packs instead of brand new releases.
But when I return, I’m starting something new: one fresh kit each month, each with its own theme.
A small rhythm to look forward to.
The test pilot is a refurbished version of my Peahens Wearing Renaissance Floral Hats series. The folio has been in the shop since early on, but I recently expanded it into a full 14-piece digital kit.
