Finding a Better Rhythm

Last night, I realized I may have gone a little overboard on that “new direction” I mentioned last month.

At the end of March, I finished two kits—Cherry Blossoms and Cherry Blossoms at Sunset.
The second one just went live this morning.

Here is the link to the Cherry Blossoms A softer palette, leaning into early spring
And this one is the Cherry Blossoms at Sunset A slightly deeper version—sunset tones and shadows

They came together slowly, which I didn’t mind at first. There’s something nice about staying with one theme, letting it unfold piece by piece.

But after a while, it started to feel… too quiet. Too slow.

So last week, I tried something different.

Instead of working straight through one kit at a time, I began working in batches—making one component across several kits. Tags for a handful of themes, then journal cards, then backgrounds.

I was a wee ambitious with ten.

It turns out ten is a lot to hold in your head at once.

I think six might be the better number.

Even in this early stage, it’s already shifting the rhythm. A single work session now produces a small collection—pieces from different kits, different moods, finding their way into the shop together.

It feels a bit more alive this way.

Less like waiting for one finished thing, and more like watching something take shape from multiple directions at once.

I’m still finding the balance, but this feels closer.

More soon.
