A New Chapter: Carissa May's North Star

Happy New Year!

I’ve been thinking a lot about beginnings lately. As 2026 rolls in, I’m excited to share a small, quiet change that feels big to me: I’ve opened a new Etsy shop called Carissa May's North Star. This one has a slightly different focus than PersephoneGracePaper — it’s built for business owners, shopkeepers, and creators looking for practical, versatile design assets: seamless papers, and eventually templates and clipart.

Right now, there’s just one product available, but that’s okay. This is a place that will grow slowly, thoughtfully, and with intention. Over the next few months, I’ll be moving some of my existing papers into this new shop — what I jokingly call the “Great Paper Migration” — and after that, I’ll start adding templates and clipart that I hope will be genuinely useful for creative projects and small businesses.

Why a new shop? It’s not that the old one isn’t loved — it absolutely is. PersephoneGracePaper will remain the cozy, story-driven home for papers inspired by wanderlust, journals, and little thematic adventures. This new shop is about discovery and ascent: practical, adaptable, and business-friendly, with a quieter, more functional aesthetic.

I’ve spent the past few weeks thinking about how I create, how I organize, and what I want these digital assets to offer. Some things are experiments; some are simple textures. Some are even a little strange — and that’s okay. I hope to share both the polished and the curious alike.

I’m looking forward to the journey, and I hope you’ll follow along, even if it’s just quietly from the sidelines. There are small things now, but there’s a lot in store over the coming months.
